Yilmaz Ozturan is President and CEO of Somfy Systems, the North American arm of Somfy Group, a global leader in motorized and smart shading and window-covering technology. He brings more than 23 years of international experience in sales, business development, and strategy within the shading industry, giving him a broad view of how the business operates across different markets.
On taking the helm of the U.S. and Canada operations, Ozturan spent his early tenure listening and assessing before making changes, ultimately unifying the two markets under one structure organized around three channels: professional installers, end consumers, and new-home specification. He has since pushed a digital-transformation agenda, including consumer lead-generation campaigns, an e-learning platform for dealer training, and virtual showroom tools for Somfy's dealer network.
Ozturan frames the company's products around solving everyday homeowner problems, such as cutting glare and heat while preserving outdoor views, and champions a customer-centric, entrepreneurial culture internally. He has also aligned North American operations with Somfy Group's broader 2030 sustainability goals and supported community efforts including Habitat for Humanity.
