Thomasina M. Ivy is President and CEO of TMI Consulting, a nationwide consulting firm she has led for 21 years, growing it from a startup into an award-winning company serving federal, state, local government, and commercial clients. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and an MBA from Concordia University, and completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program along with other management and entrepreneurship training.
Ivy organizes the firm around three priorities she treats as equally essential: employees, community, and clients, underpinned by core values of innovation, quality, integrity, and impact. Within three years of launching TMI, she secured the company's first federal prime contract, a milestone that helped set the firm on its long-term growth trajectory.
Beyond running TMI, Ivy mentors female entrepreneurs through organizations including WWBIC and Mercy Corporation and advocates for greater representation of women in business and STEM fields. She draws a clear distinction between managers, who execute projects, and leaders, who inspire the people around them.
