Sundie Seefried is CEO of Partner Colorado Credit Union, where she pioneered banking services for Colorado's legal cannabis industry through a division she created called Safe Harbor Private Banking. Under her leadership, that division grew to manage hundreds of cannabis-related accounts and process billions of dollars in transactions, a market she entered after recognizing both a clear community need and the safety risks created by cash-heavy businesses without access to normal banking services.
Seefried's approach to leadership was shaped in part by a decade spent helping establish orphanages in South Africa, an experience she has said informed her views on acceptance and relationship-building, both of which proved useful in navigating the complex regulatory environment around cannabis banking.
She has also become a prominent advocate for women in finance, using her visibility in the industry to encourage other women to pursue unconventional career paths. Beyond banking, she founded the Partner Colorado Foundation, which has distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships and grants to local organizations.
