Dr. Robert Gottlander is President and CEO of Neoss, a global dental implant company. A graduate of the University of Gothenburg School of Dentistry with more than 40 years in the field, he spent 27 years in senior leadership at Nobel Biocare, where he helped establish clinical concepts underpinning modern implantology and co-developed Procera, described as the world's first successful CAD/CAM system for dental restorations.
Before joining Neoss, Gottlander served as Chief Marketing Officer of Global Dental at Henry Schein, Inc., and later worked as a consultant building partnerships between industry and universities. At Neoss, he has pursued what he calls "Intelligent Simplicity," the idea that genuinely useful dental technology should make complex procedures more accessible rather than more complicated.
Under his leadership, Neoss has upgraded its digital infrastructure and introduced NeossONE, a unified prosthetic platform compatible across implant diameters, and the company partnered with CareCapital to accelerate its growth. Gottlander, who credits Professor Per-Ingvar Brånemark as a formative influence, has also fostered closer ties between Neoss's research teams and Gothenburg University, and organized the Neoss Integrate 2022 conference in Gothenburg to bring together innovators in implant dentistry.
