Patrick Michael is the founder and CEO of LA Estate Rentals, a luxury vacation rental company that helped pioneer the high-end short-term rental market in Los Angeles and has since expanded to more than a dozen cities worldwide. Starting the venture in 2008 during the recession, he saw an opportunity to convert unsold luxury properties into revenue-generating assets for affluent clients wanting to maintain their lifestyle through an economic downturn. His portfolio now spans hundreds of properties, with select ultra-luxury homes commanding tens of thousands of dollars per night.
Beyond real estate, Michael has shown entrepreneurial range through ventures in hospitality, fashion, and automotive industries, and has also worked as an executive producer on music videos. He has built a vertically integrated business emphasizing discretion and personalized service, with the large majority of revenue coming from referrals and repeat clients. He is now developing proprietary technology and industry infrastructure, including tools aimed at standardizing bookings across the fragmented luxury rental sector.
