Nick Jones is co-founder and CEO of Zumo, a cryptocurrency and blockchain fintech company serving both consumer customers and financial institutions through a crypto-as-a-service offering. A veteran tech entrepreneur with four prior successful exits, his career stretches back to the dot-com boom, when he joined Goto.com, later known as Overture, in 2000.
Over two decades, Jones has worked at the front edge of successive waves of digital innovation, from the commercial internet and mobile to social media, big data, and machine learning, before turning his attention to blockchain. He runs Zumo around a framework of clear roadmapping, defined KPIs, and strength-based team leadership, a style shaped in part by a long-standing mentor.
Under his leadership, Zumo secured FCA regulatory approval on a limited budget, built patented in-house technology for managing cryptocurrency keys, and posted 25 percent month-on-month customer growth. Jones has also pushed the company to lead on environmental accountability in crypto, setting a net-zero target for 2030 and building customer-facing carbon offset programs alongside low-fee, non-custodial wallet products.
