Maryscott Greenwood

Maryscott Greenwood is CEO of the Canadian American Business Council, an organization focused on strengthening trade and policy ties between the United States and Canada. Before taking on that role, she founded Crestview Strategy US, a Washington DC public policy consultancy, and earlier served as chief of staff at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa from 1997 to 2001.

Known widely by the nickname 'Scotty,' Greenwood has built a reputation as an advocate for female entrepreneurship, prioritizing partnerships with women-owned businesses and mentoring emerging female leaders in trade and policy circles. She describes organizational diversity as a competitive advantage rather than a box to check.

Under her leadership, the Council has launched several public-facing initiatives, including the podcast 'Canusa Street,' an Entrepreneur's Circle, and a Corporate Action on Social Justice series, and she remains a frequent commentator on US-Canada trade and political issues.
