Mark Goodway is the founder and CEO of The Matthew Tree Project, a UK-based charity dedicated to addressing poverty and preventing homelessness through comprehensive support. Inspired by a pivotal moment observing a homeless individual in 2010, he established a social mobility program that combines immediate crisis relief with long-term transformational assistance.
His Rebuilding Lives model takes a holistic approach, addressing mental, physical, and social factors while helping clients resolve debt, maximize income, and rebuild self-worth. Recognized for his work, Goodway received an MBE in 2023 for services to charity and disadvantaged people, and remains committed to sharing the organization's open-source methodology to drive systemic change across the sector.
