Jonathan Kolber is CEO and co-founder of the International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC), Canada's largest English language school. He holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the University of Toronto, and under his leadership ILAC now enrolls roughly 35,000 students a year across its Toronto and Vancouver campuses.
Kolber has pushed ILAC beyond a typical language school into what he calls a pathway to Canada, building partnerships with more than 80 post-secondary institutions that funnel thousands of graduates into Canadian colleges and universities each year.
During the pandemic he launched ILAC KISS online courses to keep students learning remotely, and has since expanded the ILAC Education Group through partnerships and a dedicated student health care plan, guided by a stated belief that criticism is one of the most useful tools for improvement.
