Helen Fisher is a business psychologist and CEO and Co-Founder of Nicholson McBride Fisher, a consulting firm she helped establish three decades ago. Over her career, she has worked with more than 80 organizations across 20 countries, including major financial institutions such as Barclays and Morgan Stanley alongside multinational corporations like GSK and Accenture, focusing on developing people through coaching, leadership programs, and career development.
Fisher's client work spans senior executives, including military officers and bank leaders, helping them build capability for both current and future roles. She is particularly known for supporting women returning to work after maternity leave, an area she argues many organizations still underserve despite its importance as a retention tipping point.
She points to research suggesting female leaders are rated as wise and compassionate roughly twice as often as their male counterparts, qualities she links to stronger employee satisfaction, and she continues to share this perspective as a guest lecturer at Cambridge and University College London.
