Elena Dwyre

Elena Dwyre is CEO of Campagna Academy, a 70-year-old nonprofit social services organization, formerly known as Hoosier Boys' Town, licensed by Indiana's Department of Child Services. The agency serves more than 500 at-risk youth and families each year through therapeutic, educational, vocational, and independent living programs, and has earned the Great Lakes Award for nonprofit management excellence.

Dwyre is known for a transformational leadership style that adapts to what the organization needs at a given moment, focused on giving staff room to lead and take on new challenges rather than managing rigidly from the top down. She believes real leadership means helping others believe in their own ability to grow into bigger roles.

Under her direction, Campagna Academy has built a clinical team of masters-level therapists using evidence-based approaches such as DBT and CBT within an outcomes-focused treatment model. She points to concrete results, including a former trafficking survivor who, after treatment through the program, secured community employment and was accepted to college to study hospitality management, as the kind of outcome she is working to make more common.
