Dr. Raffaele Luca Amalfi is CEO and Co-Founder of Seguente Inc., a technology company building liquid-cooled hardware platforms with integrated AI software for the information and communications technology industry. He spent over 12 years working on thermal management research at institutions including Nokia Bell Labs USA, the IBM Research Lab in Switzerland, and EPFL, where he earned his Ph.D. in Energy Engineering.
At Seguente, Amalfi has led development of COLDWARE, a direct-to-chip two-phase cooling technology aimed at solving the thermal challenges facing high-performance data centers and computing systems as demand for processing power grows. He has authored more than 60 scientific publications and holds multiple patents in the field.
Amalfi describes his approach to entrepreneurship as built on following a clear vision, encouraging innovation among team members, and staying focused, principles he applies both to running Seguente and to his continued involvement in professional engineering organizations.
