Craig Henderson is CEO of Extract Labs, a cannabinoid company he founded in 2016. A decorated Iraq War veteran with a master's degree in engineering, he started the business from his garage during a difficult personal period, jobless and going through a divorce while raising two children, at one point using snow from his driveway to help cool heated oil during early extraction experiments.
Henderson has built Extract Labs around rigorous third-party certifications, including Vegan, Kosher, and cGMP standards, plus batch-level tracking for transparency, while pursuing ISO 17025 accreditation. Rather than competing solely on CBD like many peers, he has pushed the company to explore minor cannabinoids such as CBG, CBN, and CBC, producing full-spectrum formulations rather than the isolate-based products common elsewhere in the market.
His leadership philosophy centers on showing rather than telling, starting with how he holds himself accountable before asking the same of his team. Henderson sees cannabis medicine as an increasingly diverse field capable of offering consumers more personalized wellness options than the market has historically provided.
