Colin Moreland is CEO of MPP Software Solutions, a cloud-based software development company. He describes his job in simple terms: find good, motivated people, build an environment where they can succeed, and then step out of their way. Under that philosophy, MPP Software won a Business of the Year Award in 2021 for Innovation and Technology and grew revenue by roughly 4,800% over two fiscal years.
Moreland draws inspiration from Zappos founder Tony Hsieh's focus on customer experience and employee empowerment, building a culture at MPP where employees are treated as the company's most important customers.
Beyond MPP Software, Moreland holds an executive role at Calgary-based CalTen Software and owns Lethbridge Sports, an independent media company. He also serves as President of the Lethbridge Steel football association and is an active supporter of women's sports in Canada.
