Brunello Rosa is CEO and Head of Research at Rosa & Roubini Associates, a macroeconomic and geopolitical analysis firm he co-founded with economist Nouriel Roubini. With fifteen years teaching finance and macroeconomics at the London School of Economics and prior experience as a Bank of England official, he combines academic, policy, and private-sector perspectives in his work.
His firm has built a distinctive research methodology that blends quantitative economic data with qualitative factors such as political risk and geopolitics, areas that Rosa argues are often overlooked by conventional economic models. That approach helped the firm and its team gain recognition for forecasting the 2020 recession roughly a year and a half before it occurred, work that led to advisory involvement with the G20 presidency.
More recently, Rosa's research has focused on the intersection of finance, technology, and geopolitics, including the implications of central bank digital currencies for cyber and geopolitical influence across both developed and emerging economies.
