Brandon C. Lorey is President and CEO of Bank of Clarke County, bringing more than 28 years of senior leadership experience in banking. He previously held executive roles at United Bank, H&R Block Bank, and Sovereign Bank, where he developed deep expertise in credit management and lending, including through the 2008 housing crisis. He holds a government degree from the College of William & Mary and an MBA from the University of Maryland.
At Bank of Clarke County, Lorey has pushed to position a traditional community bank as technology-forward and entrepreneurial, launching LV Finance, a specialized marine lending division, and adopting digital tools such as nCino to modernize the customer experience.
His leadership philosophy centers on surrounding himself with talented, diverse team members and staying agile in decision-making, an approach he sees as essential to competing against both large traditional banks and newer financial technology firms.
