Aristotle Ang is President and CEO of America West Medical Transportation, a Northern California ambulance and patient transportation company. Over roughly a decade at the helm, he grew the business from a modest two-vehicle operation into a fleet of 99 vehicles staffed by around 340 people, taking annual revenue from under $200,000 into the multi-millions.
Ang credits his father, Teddy, with instilling the work ethic, empathy, and humility that shape the company's family-like culture, and he has built the organization around reliability, accountability, and continuous improvement. Under his leadership, the company has reached 98 percent on-time performance for major clients, cut reported injuries by 95 percent, and maintained 90 percent employee retention even while doubling revenue over five years, now handling roughly 15,000 trips a month.
He has pushed the business toward AI-driven scheduling optimization, Six Sigma practices, and 360-degree vehicle monitoring, framing medical transport vehicles as mobile healthcare clinics rather than simple transportation. Ang remains focused on automating what can be automated while adapting the business to what he calls "digital Darwinism."
