Anas Almaletti is co-founder and CEO of Cell Phones For Less, Inc., a wireless retail business his father founded in Syracuse, New York in 2005. After joining the company in 2009 alongside his brother, Almaletti helped grow the business from a single store into a network of about 40 locations across New York and Pennsylvania, expanding its workforce from a handful of employees to well over 100. The company became an authorized Cricket Wireless retailer in 2014, strengthening its position in the affordable mobile services market.
Almaletti has credited much of his outlook to his childhood in Madaba, Jordan, where he lived in close quarters with a large extended family, an experience he says shaped his emphasis on resilience and community. He describes part of his role as protecting the company's identity and culture, making sure employees understand and share its core values, and has said his interest in chess has sharpened the analytical thinking he brings to business decisions.
During the pandemic, the company demonstrated its community focus by offering free phone service to terminally ill children with limited ability to stay in contact with family.
